Athletics >LacrosseLacrosse America-Activity # 333043
Lacrosse America is an organization that has been dedicated to promoting and expanding lacrosse in the Chicago area for over 17 years. Teams will be grouped by grade and ability level. Emphasis in games will be on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and equal playing time (provided there has been good practice attendance). All programs are ideal for beginning and experienced players. All players receive custom shorts and jerseys. Each participant will need all necessary equipment, which can be rented or purchased through Lacrosse America. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE EQUIPMENT ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE PROGRAM; EQUIPMENT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THE FIELD.
Boys Spring Programs:
Grades 4-5(Lightning): Beginning and experienced players will learn about the game and develop their skills through drills, team building activities, scrimmages and games. Lightning will practice twice a week and play games on the weekend.
Grades 6-7(Juniors) and Grade 8(Seniors): Two practices a week and games each weekend. Players will learn about the game and develop their skills through drills, team building activities, scrimmages and games. These programs will have upper and lower divisions; players will be placed depending on skill, attitude, and knowledge of the game. Both levels are ideal to learn and develop the skills necessary to play lacrosse.
Playing up a level: Please register and attend practice for your actual grade level. You may request an evaluation from your coach during the first practice if you feel you have the ability to play up a level.
