Deerfield Park District Skate Park

Come to Jewett Park and enjoy one of the first skate parks in the area! Features include a grind rail, bench, ramp and bowl. The skate park is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk. Remember: Wear appropriate safety equipment while skating!


Ice Skating & Hockey Classes
through the
Park District of Highland Park

Deerfield residents may register for ice skating and hockey classes held at the Park District of
Highland Park’s Centennial Ice Arena
at resident rates.

Registration for ice skating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration for Centennial Ice Arena programs must be done in-person at Centennial. No mail-in or fax registrations are accepted. No confirmation cards are mailed. If available, please bring your child’s most recent evaluation form and recommendation.

Late Summer Session Registration: September 5-23 (No class September 23)
Begins Aug. 1 for residents; begins Aug. 8 for nonresidents

Fall Session Registration: September 25-Nov. 18 (No class Oct. 2).
Begins August 1 for residents; begins August 8 for nonresidents

Winter Session Registration: November 20-February 4 (No class Nov. 24, after 3:00 p.m., Nov. 23-26)
Begins November 2 for residents; begins November 3 for nonresidents

Learn to Skate Programs
Toddler through Delta levels are considered Learn to Skate programs/skill building programs. Students will learn fundamental skating maneuvers, body awareness positions, increase skating vocabulary, progress in ability and prepare for the freestyle level of advanced jumps and spins. These programs combine both ISI and US Basic Skills programming. A wide variety of days, times and levels are offered through the Park District of Highland Park. Please
call Centennial Ice Arena at 432-4790 for specific program information.

(Begins September 5)

Monday: 8:30-9:10 a.m. (adults only), 11:00 a.m.-12:20 p.m.
Tuesday: 8:40-9:30 a.m. (adults only), 11:10 a.m.-1:00 p.m., 3:30-4:45 p.m.
Wednesday: 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., 6:30-7:45 p.m. (11/16, 11/30, 12/14 only)
Thursday: 8:30-9:15 a.m. (adults only), 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:50-9:30 a.m. (adults only), 11:10 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Saturday: 3:40-5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 2:00-3:20 p.m. (starts 10/16)
