Learning Through Legos - Activity #221614

Sections 01-03: Teaching virtue and building character through guided play and collaborative learning activities. Children will have the opportunity to develop basic life skills (Social, emotional, organization, citizenship) through weekly original building projects using LEGO bricks and elements.

Sections 04-06: Did you know your child could build on his/her number and reading skills through building with LEGOS? It’s true! Using LEGO bricks enhances skills such as letter and number formulation, shapes, patterns, addition, subtraction, and interaction through cooperation and problem solving. But, shhh . . . don’t tell your kids that while they’re having fun, they are learning, too! NOTE: Sect. 01 & 04 - Free play the first 45 minutes. Sect. 02 & 05 - Bring a Lunch!

Location: Jewett Park Community Center
Instructor: Beth Weis
